We are delighted: The Kleine Zeitung has reported on our success story! Under the title "Two ancient healing arts and 'Master Chance'", the editorial team presents our unique project – the development of the world's first berberine juice in Schladming.
From ancient healing traditions to modern research
Berberine is an active ingredient from the barberry that has been known for centuries and was used in both Traditional Persian and Traditional Chinese Medicine . Today, berberine is being scientifically researched in connection with cholesterol, blood sugar, and fatty liver disease .
Until now, berberine was almost exclusively available in capsule form . But together we – Bernhard Sikora, Pharmacist Dr. Agnieszka Magg and internist Dr. Babak Bahadori have developed a new approach: BerBerSan® , the first berberine juice, rounded off with clear water from the Dachstein mountain.
Why juice instead of capsules?
We are convinced that absorption via the oral mucosa offers advantages over traditional capsules. Many customers report positive effects, particularly regarding liver function tests such as gamma-GT .
The Kleine Zeitung highlights how we have managed to combine traditional knowledge with modern research – and thus create a completely new approach to liver and cholesterol health .
Schladming as the starting point for innovation
We are particularly proud that this innovation originated in Schladming. Here, alpine purity , medical expertise , and millennia-old healing knowledge combine to create a product that is unique worldwide.
A glimpse into the future
With BerBerSan®, we not only want to offer a product, but also contribute to research on berberine . Our goal is to further investigate and raise awareness of the medical potential of berberine in collaboration with physicians and universities.
